Fergal Begley BDS (TCD)
Fergal Begley, a native of the Cooley Peninsula, qualified from Trinity College in 1991. After 2 years working in a specialist practice in Northern Ireland he opened the surgery on Anne Street. An Active member of the Irish Dental Association, Fergal believes strongly in continuing professional development and is a fan of modern methods and the scientific advancement of dentistry. “I believe in quality dentistry which not only satisfies the desire for a perfect smile but safeguards the long term dental health of the patient”.
Elaine Grahame BDS
Elaine originally from Scotland, qualified from Sheffield University in 1993. She worked for a number of years in the UK and Spain before settling in Ireland. She joined the team at Begley Dental in 2000. Elaine is an avid advocate of access to quality dental treatment for all. With a special interest in the treatment of anxious patients Elaine says “Putting patients at ease and enabling them to overcome their fears is very satisfying for me but more importantly is vital for their dental and general health”.
Sinead Jones DSA
Sinead joined the practice in 1998 and completed her training as a Dental Surgery Assistant here in 2000. She enjoys being busy and interacting with patients. “It's amazing the people you meet in the surgery. Every day you pick up something new and interesting."
Tracy Kieran Receptionist and DSA
Tracy joined the practice in 2000 and qualified as a DSA in 2001. Having worked as a DSA for 7 years Tracy moved to reception. Her experience in the surgery gives her an insight into balancing the needs of the patients with the pressures in the surgery. “Because I know how things work in the surgery I can appreciate how best to arrange appointments to suit both the dentist and the patient.”
Aimee Mc Manus Dental Hygienist
Aimee qualified as a dental nurse from the Dublin Dental Hospital in 2007 and went on to qualify as a dental hygienist in 2009 from UCC with two awards for clinical excellence along the way. She joined the team here at Begley Dental in May 2012 and has been busy here since. Aimee believes that prevention is better than cure where gum health is concerned. "Giving our children good habits is the biggest favour we can do them both for their teeth and their general health".
